Welcome to European Media Education Lab!
This website is the result of the cooperation of five European countries (Slovakia, Portugal, Greece, Italy and Spain) working together within the Erasmus plus project named Media Education: From passive consumers to active creators (2014-2016).
Our mission
Our mission has been to create the website aspiring to become one of the largest banks of the online materials and lesson plans for teaching Media Education and Literacy by hands-on approach. We strongly believe that practical teaching of Media Education is growing in importance in developing students´ media literacy and it is one of the most effective and engaging way of involving students as well.
"Making media and sharing it with listeners, readers, and viewers is essential to the development of critical thinking and communication skills. Feedback deepens reflection on one’s own editorial and creative choices and helps students grasp the power of communication." (The Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Media Literacy Education)
